    • This is about the 4th time I’ve done this hike and only noticed a tiny restaurant/wine bar and a wine cave near the end of the hike in the vineyards. I’ll try next time!
    • This is a post. It is happening on Saturday, thus keeping my "post every day" streak going. Please, please, hold your applause.    Didn't do much today, but ok with that. Did hear back from first choice therapist; not taking new clients. Scheduled with 2nd choice, will have an appointment next Saturday. Not sure how I feel.   Tomorrow, back to my checklists.
    • Might not be the light pollution: stayed up late hoping to see it, but nothing. I've got family in rural Colorado they've got just a slight bit of pink.
    • Depression is a butt. You rock for doing what you can even with the dark beast on your shoulder. Keep it up!   Sorry the magic lights didn’t show for you. I’m gonna try again myself but I missed it last night and I can’t stay up late today so I’m not hopeful.
    • A traveller in a grass stained cloak enters, humming a gentle tune. The traveller delicately places a handful of brightly coloured flowers in a cup on the stable side of the tavern. “These may not look like much, but their substance is weighty.” The bartender lifts the cup and turns it this way and that. “Hmm, there is a special heft to them! What can I get you?” “Do you have any floral teas? Something with caffeine that still somehow tastes like a meadow?” The bartender nods and starts the kettle as the traveller, humming again, sits at a nearby table and starts sketching.  I didn’t include it in my main post, but I’m trying to do various ankle and foot stretches and strengthening and I made an additive tracker for the challenge. Every flower is a day when I Did The Thing!
    • Week 1 Roundup     Run 🌟 Other movement 🌟 Meditate 🌟 Nature Appreciation 🌟🌟 Unloved Hobbies 🌟   Bonus   Adventure runs  Posting/hype 🌟 Photos 🌟   Running total: 10 🌟   That’s more like it! Cut my run very short because my foot is still hurting, so it was just 4.5km (and even that might have been a mistake, given how much pain I was in by the end of the night). But hey, if doing a short run now means I don’t have to skip my June race, that’s okay!   Nature appreciation was a theme this week. Got in some good time in the garden during the week, including a bit of just sitting and enjoying my ferns. I even collected a bit of home-grown salad greens! Like half a single serving of salad, haha.    Then! I got a hot tip that the northern lights might be visible here…sadly, Mr. Radost and I turned in too early to catch them, but we spent a lovely half hour on the hilltop park a couple blocks away stargazing. The moon was absolutely amazing and it was nice to just take some time to watch the night sky.  I might try again tonight, but it’s an even worse night to stay up late. Today, I had rehearsal 1:30-8:30 (with a 1.5h break) and I needed to be up some time this morning so I could do some house stuff and get my run in before it was too hot. Tomorrow is the dress (10) and concert (2), and we’re cramming in a Mother’s Day brunch at a place across the street from the theatre, so I need to be styled and made up with performance clothes ready by like 9, blech.    And! Chilled in greenspace during the break in rehearsal this evening enjoying the delicate new maple leaves and the daylight crescent moon. To the soundtrack of The Toad Alchemy!    Meditation happened in the garden too. It was not quite as delightful as I hoped, with neighbours doing lawn care and whatnot, but it’s the practice that counts.    pics under the cut! Miner’s Lettuce, I think, another native woodland plant from my run. I think it’s under appreciated with its delightful round leaves.    Two and a half hours down, two to go. Have I oversung? Will I lose my voice? Have I put enough treasure in the dungeon I’m writing up? Only the Horned Moon knows.

    • When I make exercise goals, I do no exercise. When I don't, I go out to catch Pokémon for hour-plus walks three times in a week? Ultimately it's a good thing but I'm also so wiped when I come back that I'm definitely not doing anything related to my actual goals. I have every intention of doing things but after not walking in forever I'm just fucking exhausted. So tl;dr this week was shit challenge-wise. Although I just realized I only ordered food once today so there's that.    having trouble with motivation for anything else because depression is still winning. Cats are obnoxious, people I live with are obnoxious, the world is absolutely fucked, and I just want to go live in a cave in the woods somewhere. Still forcing myself to do some stuff but I'm not nowhere near 100%. I think I'm more annoyed by it than anything. Like hello, I have stuff I need and want to do can we table the bullshit for a minute so I can focus?   gonna go outside in a couple minutes to see if I can see the aurora but I'm doubtful because of light pollution. [edit: I was right. Womp]
